KKR Signs Chetan Sakariya as Umran Malik’s Replacement for IPL 2025
Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) have signed left-arm pacer Chetan Sakariya as a replacement for the injured Umran Malik for the upcoming TATA Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 season. Malik has been ruled out due to injury, and Sakariya, who has represented India in an ODI and two T20Is, will join KKR for INR 75 Lakh. The young bowler has played 19 IPL matches, taking 20 wickets.
The player retention window for IPL 2025 closed on October 31, 2024, with all 10 franchises finalizing their squads.
