Thiagarajar College of Engineering Launches TEDP to Foster Tech Entrepreneurs
Thiagarajar College of Engineering (TCE), Madurai, is set to introduce a Technology-Based Entrepreneurship Development Programme (TEDP) from February 12 to March 25. The initiative, supported by the Department of Science and Technology (DST), Government of India, aims to equip aspiring entrepreneurs with practical knowledge in instrumentation and IoT applications.
The offline programme will offer hands-on training in designing instrumentation systems, integrating sensors and actuators, and establishing communication between devices using various protocols. Participants will also explore the application of IoT in key sectors such as healthcare, smart cities, smart agriculture, and pollution control, enhancing their understanding of real-world implementations.
The six-week training is open to graduates and diploma holders aged 22 to 45 from science, engineering, and technology backgrounds. Registration for the programme is free, but only 20-25 participants will be selected for this exclusive training opportunity. Upon successful completion, attendees will be awarded a government-recognized certificate, enhancing their credibility in the field of technology and entrepreneurship.
“TEDP aims to bridge the gap between technology and entrepreneurship by providing real-world exposure and business insights,” said Programme Coordinator B. Ashok Kumar. The initiative seeks to empower innovators by helping them translate technological skills into viable business ventures.
Interested candidates can apply until February 10. This programme serves as an excellent platform for individuals looking to gain expertise in emerging technologies and transform their ideas into successful enterprises.
