Travis Head Clinches Maiden Allan Border Medal at 2025 Australian Cricket Awards

Travis Head has secured his first-ever Allan Border Medal at the 2025 Australian Cricket Awards after a stellar year across all formats. He accumulated 208 votes, finishing well ahead of Josh Hazlewood (158) and Pat Cummins (147). Head's consistency saw him amass 1427 runs in the year, including four centuries, earning him the Men's ODI Player of the Year award as well.

Josh Hazlewood was honored with the Shane Warne Test Player of the Year award for his exceptional performance, taking 30 Test wickets at an average of 13.17. Adam Zampa was recognized as the Men's T20I Player of the Year for his contributions in the shortest format.


In the women's category, Annabel Sutherland won her maiden Belinda Clark Award after an outstanding year. She scored 798 runs at an average of 46.94 and took 34 wickets, including a century in the Ashes Test and a double century against South Africa. She outperformed Ashleigh Gardner and Beth Mooney, who won the Women's ODI and T20I Player of the Year awards, respectively. Gardner impressed with 385 runs and 23 wickets, while Mooney dominated in T20Is with 618 runs at an average of 47.53 and a strike rate of 129.83.

BBL saw joint winners Glenn Maxwell and Cooper Connolly, while Ellyse Perry and Jess Jonassen shared the WBBL Player of the Tournament award. These awards highlight a year of spectacular performances in Australian cricket.
