
Ginger-Chilli Amla : Dish Recipe
Ingredients Required
- Amla (Indian gooseberry) – 6 to 8
- Ginger – 1-inch piece (smashed)
- Green chillies – 2 (cut into halves)
- Salt – To taste
- Water – 3 cups
Preparation Steps
Prepare the Ingredients
- Wash the amla thoroughly.
- Lightly smash the ginger for better flavor infusion.
- Cut the green chillies in half.
Boil the Ingredients
- In a pot, bring 3 cups of water to a boil.
- Add smashed ginger, green chillies, and salt.
- Let it boil for 3–5 minutes to infuse the flavors.
Add the Amla
- Drop the whole amlas into the boiling water.
- Let them cook for about 7–10 minutes until they become soft.
Extract the Juice
- Once done, remove the pot from heat.
- Smash the amlas gently to release their extract into the water.
Serve
- Strain and serve warm as a health drink.
