Ginger-Chilli Amla : Dish Recipe

Ingredients Required

  1. Amla (Indian gooseberry) – 6 to 8
  2. Ginger – 1-inch piece (smashed)
  3. Green chillies – 2 (cut into halves)
  4. Salt – To taste
  5. Water – 3 cups


Preparation Steps

  1. Prepare the Ingredients

    • Wash the amla thoroughly.
    • Lightly smash the ginger for better flavor infusion.
    • Cut the green chillies in half.
  2. Boil the Ingredients

    • In a pot, bring 3 cups of water to a boil.
    • Add smashed ginger, green chillies, and salt.
    • Let it boil for 3–5 minutes to infuse the flavors.
  3. Add the Amla

    • Drop the whole amlas into the boiling water.
    • Let them cook for about 7–10 minutes until they become soft.
  4. Extract the Juice

    • Once done, remove the pot from heat.
    • Smash the amlas gently to release their extract into the water.
  5. Serve

    • Strain and serve warm as a health drink.
